The Medical Association of Alabama has reported that state lawmakers have passed a Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) urging Congress to delay ICD-10.
The medical association, in a blog to its members, quotes State Sen. Tim Melson, MD (R-Florence) as saying, “that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is forcing this unfunded mandate on the health care community, and it couldn't come at a worse time.” Rep. Melson is the sponsor of SJR 79.
