“In the First Person”—a series of daily journal entries—highlights editorial coverage being provided by ICD10monitor during the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s annual conference and exhibit on March 5, 6, and 7 in New Orleans.

Cynthia D. Fry, PhD, vice president of revenue for Catholic Health East, and Howard Walker, the system’s director of revenue cycle systems and projects as well as its ICD-10 program manager, will be providing firsthand accounts of their experiences and encounters during one of the largest healthcare exhibitions in the United States.

In addition to the “In the First Person” series, ICD10monitor will provide reports on other activities taking place, as seen through the eyes of its contributing editors.

“We will be filing stories on the content of each of our three live broadcasts,” said Chuck Buck, publisher of ICD10monitor. “Many of our panelists will also be presenting during breakout sessions at HIMSS.”

Talk-Ten-Tuesday panelists will be calling in their reports from the convention, held at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The broadcasts will be heard live beginning on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. EST.

“Although our editorial focus continues to be on the implementation of ICD-10, we believe that the new services and technologies on display at HIMSS will provide a window to the future of healthcare in America beyond the I-10 compliance date of 2014,” Buck said. “That glimpse into the future will be important to capture.”
