Bonnie Cassidy is a leading Health Information Management executive advisor, focusing her efforts on raising awareness and advancing HIM expertise in clinical documentation integrity and risk adjusted reimbursement. As the president of Cassidy & Associates, Bonnie provides advisory services to healthcare organizations. She is currently focusing her consulting in areas of organizational learning, leadership development and revenue integrity.
Cassidy was the 2011 President of AHIMA/Chair of the AHIMA Board of Directors, and the 2015 Chair of the Board of Directors for The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM). Bonnie is a Fellow of AHIMA, an AHIMA Academy ICD-10-CM/PCS Certificate Holder, is a Fellow of HIMSS, an advanced member of HFMA and is serving on the 2019 AHIMA Nominating Committee.

Deborah Grider has 35 years of industry experience and is a recognized national speaker, consultant, and American Medical Association author who has been working with ICD-10 since 1990 and is the author of Preparing for ICD-10, Making the Transition Manageable, Principles of ICD-10, the ICD-10 Workbook, Medical Record Auditor, and Coding with Modifiers for the AMA. She is a senior healthcare consultant with Karen Zupko & Associates. Deborah is also the 2017 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Literacy Legacy Award recipient. She is a member of the ICD10monitor editorial board and a popular panelist on Talk Ten Tuesdays.

Denise M. Nash, MD, CCS, CIM
Denise Nash, MD has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. In her last position, she served as senior vice president of compliance and education for MiraMed Global Services, and as such she handled all compliance and education needs, including working with external clients. Dr. Nash has worked for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in hospital auditing and has expertise in negotiation and implementation of risk contracting for managed care plans. Dr. Nash is a consultant on coding/compliance audits at physician practices and hospitals, and has worked for insurance plans conducting second- and third-level appeals. Her past experience also included consulting for the Office of the Inspector General of New Hampshire in its Fraud and Abuse Division. Dr. Nash is a member of both the RACmonitor and the ICD10monitor editorial boards.

Erica E. Remer, MD, CCDS
Erica Remer, MD, CCDS has a unique perspective as a practicing emergency physician for 25 years, with extensive coding, CDI, and ICD-10 expertise. She was a physician advisor of a large multi-hospital system for four years before transitioning to independent consulting in July 2016. Her passion is educating CDI specialists, coders, and healthcare providers with engaging, case-based presentations on documentation, CDI, and denials management topics. She has written numerous articles and serves as the co-host of Talk Ten Tuesdays, a weekly national podcast. Dr. Remer is a member of the ICD10monitor editorial board, a former member of the ACDIS Advisory Board, and the board of directors of the American College of Physician Advisors.

He provides expert witness reports, medical record audits, consulting, and online courses for healthcare providers. He also writes books and articles for trade journals and is a sought-after seminar speaker. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s of business administration, and he is one of the few clinicians who is a certified ICD-10 Instructor and certified MACRA/MIPS healthcare professional.

Holly Louie is the compliance officer for Practice Management Inc., a multi-specialty billing company in Boise, Idaho. Holly was the 2016 president of the Healthcare Business and Management Association (HBMA) and previously chaired the ICD-10 Committee. Holly is also a national healthcare consultant and testifying expert on matters related to physician coding, billing, and regulatory compliance. She has previously held compliance officer positions in local and international billing companies. Holly is a member of the ICD10monitor editor board and a popular guest on Talk Ten Tuesdays.

Joseph C. Nichols, MD
Dr. Nichols is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a long history in health information technology. He has a wide range of experiences in healthcare information technology on the provider, payer, government, and vendor side of the healthcare business. He has served in positions in executive management, system design, logical database architecture, product management, consulting, and healthcare value measurement for the last 15 of his 35 years in the healthcare industry. He has given over 100 presentations nationally related to ICD-10 over the past three years on behalf of payers, providers, integrated delivery systems, consulting groups, CMS, universities, government entities, vendors, and trade associations. He co-chairs the WEDI (Workgroup on Electronic Data Interchange) translation and coding sub-workgroup and has received WEDI merit awards three years in succession. He is also an AHIMA-approved ICD-10 coding trainer. He is currently providing consulting services as the president of Health Data Consulting Inc. Kim Carr, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS, AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer
Kim Carr brings more than 30 years of health information and clinical documentation improvement management experience and expertise to her role as Director of Clinical Documentation, where she provides oversight for auditing and documentation improvement for HRS clients. Prior to joining HRS, Kim worked as a consultant implementing CDI programs in varied environments such as level-one trauma centers, small community hospitals and all levels in between.
Before joining the consultant arena, Kim served as Manager of CDI in an academic level-one trauma center. She was responsible for education and training for physicians and clinical documentation specialists. Over the past 30 years, Kim has held several HIM positions; including HIM Coding Educator, Quality Assurance/Utilization Management Coordinator, DRG Coding Coordinator and Coding Manager. Kim holds a degree in Health Information Management and is a member of AHIMA, THIMA, ACDIS and AAPC. -

Dr. Wilbur Lo is Chief Medical and CDI Officer for cdiWorks, a Physician CDI consulting company. A US-trained Physician, Dr. Lo obtained his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed a Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Allegheny University Hospitals.
During his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Lo conducted research in Renal Pathology and published in a peer-reviewed journal, Kidney International.
At present, Dr. Lo is Lead Physician CDI consultant for a hospital in New York City. Outside the US, Dr. Lo has served as Physician CDI content and curriculum expert for AHIMA and AHIMA World Congress. Dr. Lo has extensive domestic and international CDI experience, with respect to MS-DRG, APR-DRG, IR-DRG and AR-DRG payment models.
