Other segments to be featured on the broadcast include:

  • Focus Report—Burnout: Holly Louie, past president of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association, will set the stage for our exclusive report on burnout, referring to the recent findings of the Physicians Foundation 2016 Physician Survey — 31.4 percent often have feelings of being burned out.

  • News Desk: Sandy Brewton will check in with the latest ICD-10 headline news. Sandy is a senior healthcare consultant for Panacea Healthcare Solutions, a Career Step company.

  • Coding Report: Sarah Laird, senior director of corporate coding at Novant Health, will begin the first in her series on coder burnout. She will report on early warning signs of burnout among coders and steps that should be taken to mitigate this demoralizing condition.

  • DocTalk: For a physician’s perspective on burnout, we will be joined by Dr. Larry Field, treasurer of the American College of Physician Advisors who, among other topics, advises physicians on burnout.
